A couple of weeks back, when talking about wiki spam issues with a friend, it was asked why there seems to be such a lenient approach to wikispam within openguides, and why we're ignoring solutions that are already there. One such solution being Spamassassin. I've never used it before (I've never had a need, I don't get spam), but why can't we run every edit through a customised spamassassin build, and reject/pend for approval of the admins any edits that score higher than say, 5? I don't know how easy this would be, but it does seem to be an ideal solution that saves reinventing the wheel.
