I sent this on before but it got lost in the list outage. Evan is currently
on #openguides if anyone wants to stop by and talk.

Subject: Wikitravel and OpenGuides
Hey, folks. My name is Evan Prodromou, and I'm one of the two founders of
Wikitravel.
http://www.wikitravel.org/
Wikitravel is a project to create a free (copyleft), complete, up-to-date
and reliable world wide travel guide. It's a Wiki, like OpenGuides, so
everything is edited and created and illustrated and such by users just
drifting in off the Internet.
A friend pointed me to the OpenGuides site, and I have to say I like it. I
think there's some overlap in what we're covering, but I'm not sure how
much. You don't seem as similar as, say, CapitanCook.
Anyways, I wanted to say "hi". I don't know crappo about Oxford or
Birmingham, so I don't think I have a lot to contribute, but I just figured
I'd send a ping.
Good luck,
~ESP

I notice a couple of people have subscribed to the list in the last day or
so. Hello, and welcome; would you like to introduce yourselves briefly?
Cheers,
Earle.
