So, it seems people are keen on a hackfest. Dom's made a meetomatic page for people to register the dates they'd be able to make: http://www.meetomatic.com/respond.php?id=ECAL07
Current possible venues are Oxford and London. Any preferences? Any offers of hosting in other towns?
The focus for this hackfest will probably be bug triage and bug closing.
Apologies to non-UK people - but we should see if we can work out some way for you to "attend" via IRC.

I can offer a West London venue, by way of the West London Trades Union Club, of which I am on the management committee.
There's a bar, wi-fi, and a good curry house next door.

Of a weekend, we can generally get exclusive use of the ground floor bar area until 7:00 pm, when it becomes open to members.

That sounds like a distinct possibility! Were you thinking of holding the hackfest actually in the bar, and then switching from hacking to chatting/drinking when the place filled up after 7pm?

That's the plan. I'm willing to bet that there won't be a rush of people in the door. We'll still probably have the place to ourselves, though I may need to sign everybody in as guests.
Or we could adjourn to the Tandoori Palace, and reconvene afterwards.

Sounds good to me!
If west London doesn't suit people, we also have the alternative London venue of my, Bob, and doop's house, which is just down the road from Bermondsey station, which in turn is one stop along from London Bridge station. We have a reasonably big living room which could double as crash space if we decide to use the whole weekend.
Obligatory "nearby things on OpenGuides link": http://london.randomness.org.uk/search.cgi?search=&os_dist=750&os_x=... aka http://tinyurl.com/2myjq6
Haven't heard any preferences re London or Oxford yet - anyone?

Either is fine for me - Oxford is obviously more convenient, but a change of scene is good too :)

Sun 26 August is probably too close to YAPC::Europe
Sat/Sun 9/10 June is looking good.
I may be elsewhere for that but i dont know yet. not that im that important since all i do is find bugs.
modulo being on call i supect all the other days are okay currently admittedly if its on london thats less of an issue.

Testers are important too!

I've added you on the meetomatic as a "yes" for all days except 26 Aug and 9/10 June.
Kake
The closer to YAPC::Europe the better. Then I can justify the trip from NYC as a business expense. ;)
But seriously, I may come and couch surf for a week or so, if things aren't too crazy. I'll wait until you guys settle on a date to figure it out.

Wow, I wasn't expecting any overseas participants! But that would be great.
Are you planning to go to YAPC::EU in any case?
Kake
No, i'm not even a regular at NA, but now that I have some European associates the plot does thicken a bit.

I don't have any preference for date, but would prefer Chez Kake, followed by somewhere else in London, with Oxfnord being my last choice. I don't have any particular idea about what to hack on either, but if anyone else has something that needs someone not particularly familiar with OG's guts, and you all choose a date I can do, then I'm happy to join in.

I'm sure we'll be able to find something for you to do!
