I like. I joined.
So did I.
I think if I
can hack together some kind of aggregator plugin, this
could be a great thing to include with the guides to provide extra
depth (and an incentive to keep coming back).
I smell slashboxes. Not that this is necessarily a bad smell.
Well, I was thinking of something else - I was talking to Andy Baio - the
guy whose site it was - on IRC, and asked him if he could implement
per-venue feeds, which he said should be possible. So, my plan is, I write
the plugin, then you can do something like this on a given page representing
a venue:
@RSS_FEED [
http://example.com/syndicate/venue/50] *
Which produces output something like:
Upcoming.org: Events at the Shepherds Bush Empire
- Sat Nov 22: [music] The Cooper Temple Clause
- Sun Nov 23: [music] Bob Dylan
- Tue Nov 25: [music] Blondie
- Wed Dec 03: [music] Michael Franti & Spearhead
- Fri Dec 05: [music] Inspiral Carpets
And all of those would link through to the event listings.
*
