Folks,
I'm glad that OG 0.28 is live in London and a few places, as it has given me a chance to update the documentation on the new search syntax with real examples :). Please give me feedback on this new syntax.
I also notice that the "Instructions" link on the supersearch page always links back to the London guide. Is this a good thing? At least we can guarantee that the examples will work ;).
An alternative would be to have a page on the generic openguides.org site... which leads me on to how we can keep pages on here up to date. Could we make this a wiki? Perhaps a wiki with restricted access to edit. CGI::Wiki::Simple?
Also, we could do with a repository for templates, style sheets, plugins, etc. so that OG sites can download, upload and share them.
My thoughts for the day.
By the way, I've also changed the NOT search to use '-' instead of '!' acting on feedback from a couple of people at Thursday's London.pm. This will be in 0.29, and I will add it to the search instructions when 0.29 is live.
In the mean time, I have been keeping the SuperSearch.pm POD in line with the syntax changes.
Ivor.
