I am now looking to Attribution-ShareAlike license[0], much like Wikitravel. A side-effect of this is that we will not be able to include Wikipedia content[1], and so will need to replace/rewrite any that exists.
I'll be following your progress closely, because I feel similarly uncomfortable with the state of limbo the content on the Oxford site currently exists in. If your application of the creative commons licence goes to plan I'll most likely follow suit.
