Hi all,
Mike Bergman has written a susbstantial blog entry about linked, structured data on the Web, titled "Did You Blink? The Structured Web Just Arrived" that may be of interest to people on this list, in the light of the recent RDF discussions. http://www.mkbergman.com/?p=354
The article is mainly focused on dbpedia.org, the RDFized version of Wikipedia, but touches on GeoNames and other general issues we've recently talked about. About 2/3 of the way down the page, under "Extensibility and Relation to Open Data" Mike lists "Additional candidate datasets of interest have also been identified by the SWEO interest group", including a link OpenGuides.
Nice exposure for the OG in general, and especially for the RDF/XML support :)
Tom.
