It's also important to note that you can't have a responsive site without a responsive stylesheet. openguides-base.css, which is provided with the distribution, gives an example.
I'm in the process of retrofitting the stylesheets for the Completists' Guide to Croydon and the Randomness Guide to London, and will report back here when these are live (though it might not be for a while as I don't get much time for computery stuff these days).
