Hi All,
After installing OpenGuides (thanks Kake!) and playing around with it for a bit, I was immediately confronted with a not so simple question: Are there any legal issues with putting restaurant information online (most obviously without consent)?
Now, right off I could say "Pfft! We're doing them a favor -- free advertising!" But, what if said restaurant doesn't like how the information is displayed. Also, after entering information, are we liable for keeping the data current?
There are no doubt many more questions that could be asked and the laws will surely depend on the country we're talking about, but, IANAL and I don't have any answers. There are existing OpenGuides out there -- have they asked these questions?

I dunno about legal stuff. All I can tell you is that the vegan guide to Oxford has been online for 6 or 7 years and the only restaurant that's contacted me to "complain" said something along the lines of "you're the top Google hit for us; can you come back and see if we've improved please, because you were a bit grumpy about us".
Other communications I've received have been like "thank you for the review, please come and have dinner and a free bottle of wine" and "can we send you a case of ginseng beer please".
