Earle,
The rather irritating bug whereby tables generate loads of blank lines, has been fixed in the latest CGI::Wiki::Formatter::UseMod
Kake is running the Vegan Oxford site with this version in there, and it's working fine.
Can we please fix the London site (and any others).
Thanx,
Ivor.

Hmm. Just as I'd fixed the Oxford Guide, which I'd broken by updating CGI::Wiki::Formatter::UseMod without OpenGuides itself (due to getting distracted by submitting bugs for OpenGuides), which caused any node whose name contained spaces to be empty.
I note:
**** RELATED NOTE FOR PEOPLE WITH OPENGUIDES INSTALLS ****
Do *not* install this version of CGI::Wiki::Formatter::UseMod unless you are using OpenGuides version 0.21 or later.
so of course it's all my fault and I should have RTFM. But I thought it was worth pointing out here.
Also: have I been asleep and missed the part where lists:
* foo * bar
got deprecated?
Cheers,
Dominic.

They're not deprecated - if they're not showing up right then it's a bug; please supply a test case.

Anything on the Oxford Guide right now, eg: http://www.ox.compsoc.net/oxfordguide/?Sand_Box
Running with:
CGI::Wiki 0.49 CGI::Wiki::Formatter::UseMod 0.09 Text::WikiFormat 0.60
I'm also not sure why "newlinescollapsingsomewhere" appears as it does (I'd expect it to put at least a space in between the words).
Dominic.

That'd be your problem - CGI::Wiki::Formatter::UseMod 0.09 requires Text::WikiFormat 0.71. The way that Text::WikiFormat works changed quite significantly after 0.60.
How did you manage to install it without it complaining about this dependency?

D'oh! I thought I'd checked for updated versions of all the modules; unfortunately I forgot that Text::WikiFormat wasn't one of yours and I'd only be looking in your CPAN directory.
The reason I managed to install that is that, for replicability, I'm building .debs of various perl modules; however dh-make-perl doesn't generate a correct set of debian package dependencies.
Fixed now. Thanks.
Dominic.
