I'm the Program Chair for WikiSym '08, the Fourth International ACM Symposium on Wikis.
WikiSym '08 September 8-10 Porto, Portugal http://www.wikisym.org/ws2008/
I'd very much like you to consider writing a paper, a short paper, or proposing a panel discussion for this year's WikiSym. There's still plenty of time before the May 3 deadline! And don't overlook the opportunity for demos — a superb way to introduce new ideas and new techniques to the best wiki minds and the most active wiki developers. Posters and demos can be submitted as late as June 11th. Submissions will be carefully reviewed — I'm very proud of this year's distinguished program committee -- and I'm looking forward to an exceptionally strong and exciting program.

Porto is a delightful place, ideal for a working conference like WikiSym: modern, comfortable, interesting, and refreshing. It has excellent connections with a range of discount air carriers, and it's a short and easy flight from the East coast of the US and Canada. We're even planning to take this year's OpenSpace program out into the city as a WikiWalk, in addition to the exciting new WikiFest event for starting and cultivating new wikis.
I am especially interested in strengthening ties between wiki scholarship and practice, and between theoretical work in WIki culture and business Wiki work. I do hope you and your colleagues will consider submitting to the program, and I'd be happy to answer any questions that might arise, or to lend and advice I can.
Finally, if your organization would benefit from building a stronger and more active wiki community, helping to sponsor scholarly conferences like ACM WikiSym can give you exceptional leverage. Even prestigious and selective conferences like WikiSym — sponsored by ACM, in cooperation with SIGWeb — are run on a shoestring, and sponsorships of only a few hundred dollars or euros can make a very real difference, and evoke very real gratitude from the community. Again, feel free to let me know if you'd like to explore this.
Thanks again!
