As not all guides will want this, it'll need to be a config setting to decide if it should be shown on the edit page. (Node display will always show the image if set, or a different empty span if not, to help with styling)

How will you decide what the URL to the image will be? I think this needs to be discussed a bit in the context of external image hosting, the possibility of adding image uploads, and special wikiformatting for both.
I suppose your initial plan will be to simply use a URL supplied in a metadata field? How will you impose limits on the width and height of submitted?
