I think it mostly works too. However it will exhaust database 
connections (under postgres). 
So I suspect were not closing db connections properly at some point(and 
indeed my cow-orkers agreed with me when I asked them(we didnt look into 
the code though)). I was going to see if I could replicate this before
the hackfest this weekend.
